  • Juniper Midwifery

    Kasha deRoos LM,CPM

Birth is a beautiful and natural process that should be celebrated, nurtured, and normalized with a family-centered approach. At Juniper Midwifery, we blend the ancient art of midwifery with up-to-date, evidence-based practices to offer guidance, support, and compassionate care to families as they navigate their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. We believe that birth, when left undisturbed, will most often work.

Our practice is based on holistic midwifery care, which means that we ensure each appointment has enough time to check the physical well-being of both mom and baby, offer educational resources, and provide access to a robust lending library. We also spend time developing a heartfelt connection with our clients to ensure they feel seen, heard, and comfortable throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.

At Juniper Midwifery, we understand the importance of continuity of care. That's why we offer one-on-one, individualized midwifery care. You will have your midwife, and she will be the person serving you throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. While we are blessed with a community of midwives who offer support to ensure care is comprehensive, we prioritize and specialize in providing personalized care to each of our clients.

    Amie Storm, LM, CPM

Amie Storm has been deeply involved in birth work since 2008, having attended over 500 births during her dedicated career. Certified in CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), she has honed her skills through training and learning from exceptional midwives over the years. In early 2018, Amie obtained her CPM and Idaho Midwifery License, solidifying her commitment to serving the birth community in North Idaho for seven years. Her journey began as a phlebotomist in an outpatient lab, where she quickly grasped the importance of this skill in her future as a midwife.

Amie's passion for birth ignited when she attended a home birth at the age of 18, leaving a lasting impression that inspired her path into midwifery care. Choosing to have her three children at home with a midwife alongside her husband, she experienced firsthand the transformative power of home births and sought to provide the same empowering experience to families in her community.

Driven by a desire to offer women choices in their birthing experiences, Amie pursued midwifery as a calling rather than just a job. She believes that the knowledge, skill, and compassion she brings to each decision are crucial in shaping a mother's birthing journey. For Amie, being a midwife is not just a profession—it is an integral part of who she is, guiding her to empower women and ensure they have a voice in their birthing experiences.
